RE: Ft. Myers
No it does not have a campground. It is a day park/beach etc. It is very nice and great beach and swimming. We spent some time there last winter.
RE: Getting the wire into the MH
Do not know if this will work. Go to a store that sells electronic cable, or sat tv store and see if one of the flat connectors that just fits under a closed window will work. These connectors are flat wire in the middle and have regular co-ax connectors on the end. I use one for my sat dish when not using the roof dome. I would also check with the place where you got the antennae to see if they have some sort of connector.
RE: Rejected Because RV over 10 Years Old
I find this very strange. We have been RVing in Canada and USA for about 13 years and never once asked the age of my unit. Our first trailer was a 1972 Golden Falcon that we purchased in 1995. It was already 23 years old but in great condition. Never once asked about it's age. I think when asked my current unit willl never be older than 8 years if we keep it that long.
RE: Majestic Dryer (stackable) alert--learning lesson
We started having a lint build up in ours so I took my air compressor and blew it out from inside the dryer. Actually quite a bit came out but not as much as yours.
RE: PESO TANKS !!
Actually it is not horrible for Mexico. So long as the economy is dependent upon exports it is a good thing and now Mexican exports are cheaper. We have had this same opportunity in Canada for years with a low CDN dollar making our manufactured and exported goods cheaper. Over the past few months we have lost this advantage and our manufacturing industsries are hurting.
This is not a bad thing for Mexico. A devaluation of the American dollar is bad for America because so much is imported and so costs US citizens more dollars.
RE: Electricity Power Posts in Ontario Provincial Parks
We use Ontario Provincial Parks quite a bit and really do not see this as an issue. I always carry 2 30 amp extra cords as well as the cord coming out of the trailer and have never had a problem. I also like that the breaker is right on the box plus each has a 15 amp receptacle. I usually run a separate 15 amp extension cord from the 15 amp plug to the outside panel of my fridge and plug in the fridge to separate it from the rest of the 30 amp just to give a little bumper to my amp useage.
RE: All that space in the basement and no AC Outlet - Fixed
We have an AC outlet in the basement of our Mobile Suites right from the factory. Use it for charging various things as well as running a 110v fridge/freezer and my modem. Could not be without it.
RE: Tire Swap
Agree that it would be wise to get the 'E's off as soon as possible and get the 'G's mounted. I think someone at your dealer goofed.
Just a message to the campingman. You are paying way to much for the G14's. I just bought one for $195 mounted which would be under $800 for 4.
RE: Campground Karaoke
Just about all the Ontario Provincial Parks now have a 'radio free' campground area so that eliminates that problem. Seems to work and may catch on in other places.
RE: trailer hooked while staying overnight
Always just leave everthing hooked up when stopping overnight. Have done this with last 4 trailers with no problems whatsoever.
RE: Global Positioning Navigators
We have a Garmin 7200 and use it every time we go out. I like especially that it tells me what the next street is coming up.
RE: Just a Tiny Bit disappointed with my F450
What rear end ration did you get. Could be geared too high. I have a 2008 F-350 Crew Cab with the V10 gasser and 4:30 gears and towing with ease 4000 pounds more than you.
RE: Leaving TV tires aired up?
I run 80 psi rear and 70 front 24/7. The comments about braking are nonsense with ABS brakes. I have run like this on past two trucks for years with never a problem or ususual tire wear. A little rough on the ride but c'mon it's a truck.
RE: KOA starting to require their CG's to conform
We stay at KOA's when travelling to and from Florida and find them along 1-75 to be pretty good and consistent. We are also staying at the Naple/Marco Island KOA for a period of time this winter again and it is just fine.
RE: What would you do? Opinions requested
I would be concerned about what these 'wear spots' are all about. This is supposed to be a new unit. How can it develop wear of any kind sitting on a dealers's lot. I think you have every right to be very upset but as others have posted I think you will not get your money back. Even in court the dealer could put forth a convincing argument that he had your best interest in mind by doing some self initiated preventive maintenance to the roof. What a bummer man. Kind of takes the shine off a bit doesn't it.
